“Ink Masters” star Daniel Silva has been arrested and charged with murder for an alleged DUI crash that killed YouTube star Corey La Barrie, according to reports.

A Monday statement from the Los Angeles Police Department said that Silva, 27, was arrested as a suspected drunk driver in the crash that reportedly killed La Barrie, 25.

According to the LAPD statement, the crash occurred on Sunday night when Silva allegedly “lost control… then ran off the road and collided with a stop sign and a tree.”

The LAPD said that the passenger, whose identity was “being withheld pending notification of next of kin,” was taken to a local hospital, where he died.

TMZ reported that the alleged passenger was Corey La Barrie.

According to the police statement, the driver of the vehicle attempted to leave the scene but was stopped by individuals who tried to help.

“No other vehicles were involved,” the release said.

On Saturday, La Barrie shared a video to his YouTube account, which boasts more than 350,000 subscribers, announcing that the following day, May 10, was his birthday.

La Barrie’s mother, Lissa Burton, reacted to her son’s tragic death in an Instagram post on Monday.

“My heart breaks right now, on my sons 25 birthday today he was very drunk and got into a car with a drunk diver [sic],” the caption read. “The accident killed him instantly. No words can describe the sadness I feel in loosening [sic] a child. It just feels so unreal and I’m overwhelmed with grief. I love you so much Corey and will miss you so so much. It’s just so unfair.”

TMZ reports that Silva remains in the hospital, undergoing treatment for a broken hip.
