Jessica Simpson Says She Was Almost ‘Nailed in the Face’ by Baseball While Lounging in Bikini

Was there foul-ball play involved?

Pop star and autobiographical author Jessica Simpson said that her 6-year-old son Ace “almost nailed me in the face” with a baseball while she was catching some rays in the pool.

“Attempted gettin’ some sun and my son smacked a home run from the driveway that almost nailed me in the face,” Simpson captioned a photo of herself. “Proof is in the splash. Needless to say, I got off the mat.”

In the photo, Simpson can be seen lounging on a floating pool mat on a shimmering surface of aqua pool water.

Behind her head, a small splash created by the alleged ball in question can be seen.

Earlier this year, Simpson published her tell-all memoir “Open Book,” in which she dishes on a number of personal topics, including opening up about addiction and claiming her ex John Mayer was “obsessed” with her.

While promoting the book, Simpson revealed another bombshell, telling People that she wished she signed a prenuptial agreement with her 98 Degrees singer ex-husband and “Newlyweds” co-star, Nick Lachey.
