Any artist will tell you touring is rough, whether you’re on the road for two months or two years.

Yet, when you finally see that light at the end of the tunnel, you want to go out with a bang, right?

“Yeah, cause yo ass know you bout to go home,” cracks Xzibit during an interview with Q100.5’s Santiago Romero. “[So] pull out all the stops, let’s go.”

The “Alkaholik” artist and Empire regular will take the stage March 24 for the final night of the “West Coast High” tour with headliners Cypress Hill, Hollywood Undead, and Demrick. The tour kicked off in February and has the crew crisscrossing the United States, hitting nearly two-dozen stops in less than two months.

“We been crushing it across the country and this [is] gonna be our last show of the entire tour,” Xzibit says. “You know, how fitting for it to be a huge party in the entertainment capital of the world.”

Even after the curtain closes and the group finally gets some rest, don’t expect Xzibit to slow down. After all, we’re talking about a guy who turned out season after season of Pimp My Ride while simultaneously dropping albums like Full Circle and starring in films like Derailed and XXX: State of the Union.

So what’s next for X-to-the-Z?

“We’ve always got something in the works as far as theatrically,” he says. “But I think one of the things that’s missing from my resume now is putting somebody else on musically and putting them in a position of power.”

With the recent relaunch of his Open Bar Entertainment label, Xzibit is bringing forth a new project from James Savage, the artist formerly known as Jayo Felony. The upcoming release will include a digital series dubbed “Broken Ground” that will launch simultaneously with Savage’s album on iTunes.

“We just gotta get some airplay and get everybody’s attention, cause it’s really special,” Xzibit says.
